DATE - 30/09/2007
DISTANCE - approx. 12km
START - 0830
END - 1100
WEATHER - Fair
RIDERS - approx. 20
REPORT:
Ride started at a very good location. Stream nearby provides riders access to water to clean up bikes after the ride. Ride was quite tough as riders have to ride steep uphill on the 2ft wide trail. Trail was mainly dirt but was very clear and clean around rubber plantations and minor forest. There was no specific peak point because nobody acctually rememberd the trail well and there were lots of branches/junctions, so some parts were just trials and errors! Eventually riders met back up at a junction and rode back. Major part of the ride back was downhill, and again on the 2ft wide trail. Some riders were very careful while those with GUTS rode down furiously.
RATING
Trail - 8/10
(Tough uphills, challenging and fast downhill)
Difficulty - 7/10
(Uphill was gruelling and downhil requires a lot of bike control)
Fun - 8/10
(Cooling scenery, smooth trail)
OTHER
- While waiting for other riders, 2 riders took a rest under a tree unaware of the bee hive above them. Well, you know what happened next... Ouch!!
